Coleraine Old Boys Rowing Association

Supporting Coleraine Rowers, past, present and future

With a rich history throughout generations of rowing as Coleraine Academical Institution, the rowing club has distinguished itself nationally, internationally and at world level.  And the more recent creation of Coleraine Grammar School has generated an explosion of enthusiasm, interest and involvement due to the influx of large numbers of CGS girls – who alone have lifted club standards and expectations higher still.  This major rise in membership has put severe strain on the Club’s equipment and resources and so COBRA applied to the Irish Society for assistance with the purchase of a second trailer to be able to tow rowing boats to regatta competitions.  Learning how this would help all young rowers to have an equal opportunity to achieve their potential, the Committee agreed a grant of £1,250.
