Fountain Street Community Development Association

Based in Strabane, Fountain Street Community Development Association provides many services to locals in the ‘Head of the Town’ area – from a Sure Start creche, weekly Youth Club, sports, health, wellbeing and leisure activities to weekly Advice North West sessions, a legal clinic and other information services.  With so many members becoming sedentary during lockdown, FSCDA sought funding towards the purchase of 16 Ultrasport Mini Bike Exercise Bikes with movement, arm and leg and pedal trainer; adjustable resistance; and built-in training computer.  They planned to hold classes over the autumn and winter months and believed the equipment would be warmly welcomed and widely used.  The Committee were pleased to see a request from the Strabane area and awarded a grant of £948 to meet the full cost of 16 of the models sourced for the application.
