Foyle Wanderers Football Club, Derry

After 40 successful years at senior level, and in response to the local community groups seeking to get young people off the streets and onto a football pitch, this rural amateur club is looking to establish a youth development programme – teaching discipline, time keeping and respect to the coaches and facilities.  Focussing on U13 and U17 age groups, the Club sought assistance with the cost of training equipment (cones, bibs, balls, nets, etc) and team kit.  Alderman McClintock confirmed Foyle Wanderers was a well-known local club and worthy of support.  On this note, a grant of £700 was approved.
