PSNI Strabane

Strabane Neighbourhood Police Team wish to arrange an awayday to the Jungle NI (outdoor education centre) for local “at risk” youths in their area.  The trip is designed with team building games amongst other activities in an effort to develop stronger relationships between youth and the PSNI.  Costs for 15 people had been estimated at £600.  Councillor Boyle spoke highly of the work the PSNI were doing within the local community to help and protect the mental health of teenagers.  Alderman McClintock also referred to breaking the cycle and keeping young people out of the criminal justice system.  On their recommendation, a HIS grant of £600 was approved.
