St Mary’s GAC, Rasharkin

Situated in South-West Antrim, St Mary’s is a small GAC that plays a critical role within the rural townland of Rasharkin by providing a wide range of social, physical and other recreational activities to over 400 members.  To ensure the Club can continue to deliver safe and accessible provision, they requested funding for the purchase of a HeartStart Defibrillator and associated equipment.  Through personal experiences, the Committee agreed this was a good use of money for such a vital piece of kit and, it was recognised that this was a life-saving request that would benefit the entire community.  A grant of £1,000 to cover the cost of a Phillips HeartStart HS1 was therefore awarded.
