St Molaise Gaelic Football Club, Irvinestown, Co. Fermanagh

Founded in 1906, St Molaise GFC has been a pillar of the community for over 100 years and an essential driver in facilitating access to GAA sports for young people in a rural area.  To help reach young members who have been socially isolated and negatively impacted during the past year as a result of Covid, the Club planned to develop their gym facilities for different sporting, youth and community groups to utilise.  And in order to reintroduce activities following the easing of lockdown restrictions, the GFC sought financial assistance with the purchase of new kits for their Under 8s team, balls and new goals, plus gym equipment for the U16s and adult teams – to enable group sessions and training to take place.  The Committee gladly endorsed a grant of £650 from The Clothworkers’ NI Fund.
