Zachary Geddis – Break the Silence Trust

Established in 2017 by the Geddis family following a personal family tragedy, The Zachary Geddis Break The Silence Trust aims to bring more awareness to the community of Northern Ireland surrounding the topic of Mental Health and decrease the stigma surrounding Suicide.  This not-for-profit charitable trust aims to be the voice of those suffering in silence and to help those who believe they can no longer be helped.  The Trust recently signed a Lease for premises at Loughanhill Industrial Estate to use as a head office and provide online mental health workshops.  However, extensive repair work would be necessary before they could open for business and they sought help with these costs.  Alderman McClintock spoke highly of the work of all mental health charities, which she believed were very worthy of financial assistance.  On this note, a grant of £1,000 was awarded towards painting, skimming and plastering works.
