All Saints Caring Association, Londonderry

Founded in 2012 as a non-profit community based organisation, All Saints Caring Association delivers a range of services to residents of the Waterside area – from pre-school to 75+, enriching lives, tackling the root causes of social and economic deprivation and building confidence and self-esteem.  And they report that between 800-1,000 local people benefit from community hall facilities, training and recreational activities that might not be otherwise affordable.  Alderman Niree McMorris spoke highly of the work carried out by the Association and, on her recommendation, the Committee agreed a grant of £1,000 towards the purchase of a Bain Marie and hot cupboard – so that the Association can deliver hot food to users of the Centre on Glendermott Road, manage outside catering for summer events, and take programs out to other venues where there is a demonstrated need.
