Ardstraw Area Women’s Group, Co Tyrone

Founded in 2003, Ardstraw Area Women’s Group provides a range of social, recreational and educational activities for ladies ranging in age from 27 years upwards.  They wished to purchase essential equipment for their Group including two sewing machines, a printer and six foldable tables so that they can offer more accessible resources and bring additional benefit to their members.  Alderman McMorris advised that this rural group had been subject to severe budget cuts and suggested that every bit of help would be gratefully appreciated.  On her recommendation, the Committee agreed a grant of £700.
