Ballycastle Community Hub : ‘A space for everyone!’

Already working with over 2,000 people each week with their Fridge project, Ballycastle Community Hub was receiving more and more requests for other community classes and sought funding towards tutors and additional resources/equipment to help run a variety of activities through their Environment project.  Having read about the success of The Courtyard Café (working towards eliminating food waste; engaging in surplus food collections; establishing a network of breakfast clubs within and across the wider community) and on the recommendation of Cllr Steven Callaghan, the Committee agreed an Irish Society grant of £1,000 towards facilitating an air fryer / cook it project; grow outdoor garden classes; and upcycling sessions over a six week period.
