Ballymoor FC, Derry

Set up in 2003 due to a lack of grassroots football in the Brandywell area, Ballymoor FC now has eight teams with over 100 players – and is still growing weekly.  They are a mixed race, religion, gender club providing a safe environment in an area of social deprivation where all players are welcome.  BFC require quality equipment to continue delivering regular training sessions for their young people (creating diversionary activities and keeping them out of potential trouble) and sought funding towards marker cones, agility rings, folding goals, footballs and an electric ball pump – also a compact sports first aid kit.  In line with other sports clubs, the Committee agreed a grant of £700.
