Belfast Homeless Service

Primarily offering relief from hardship and distress for those who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness, Belfast Homeless Service, provides free food; shelter; emotional/addiction/medical support; clothing and advice plus a Drop-In facility on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.  The charity applied for financial assistance to help with the purchase of 50 polo shirts and hoodies bearing the new logo to ensure volunteers can be easily recognised by the homeless community (many of whom are often distrusting and fearful) and three pop-up banners promoting a clear and consistent message and signposting its services.  Understanding the need for awareness of such vital support for the homeless, the Committee endorsed a grant of £1,900 from The Clothworkers’ NI Fund.
