The only club of its type in Northern Ireland, Carrickfergus JDA offers the best possible platform for their members to develop as young darts players; to improve numeracy (counting and mental arithmetic being key skills); and grow in a safe environment (meeting new people, making friends on common ground). Always looking to upgrade their facilities, they applied for funding towards equipment (dart boards, surrounds, lights and purpose-built oches) and academy “uniform” (darts shirts). A grant of £500 from the Clothworkers’ NI Fund was endorsed.
