Civil Service NI CC, Belfast : EVERYONE CAN PLAY!

Formed in 2004 through a merger of two cricket clubs, CSNICC has since become one of the largest clubs in the Northern Cricket Union (five men’s, two women’s and six youth teams) and aims to become a centre of excellence by providing first class sporting opportunities for its members.  It also runs initiatives throughout the year for non-members, including programmes for the elderly (tackling social isolation and other challenges), young people (promoting good behaviour and attitude); and those affected by health related issues.  The Club also enjoys a key partnership with schools in Belfast to help offer kids the chance to take part in sport for free (in order to lessen the financial burden on parents).  Crucial for conducting training sessions, organising matches, and ensuring the safety and overall experience of players, the Committee was happy to endorse a grant of £700 from The Clothworkers’ NI Fund towards essential items including nets, stumps, balls, bats, helmets and other protective gear.
