Colin Gaels GAA, Dunmurry

Offering opportunities to develop football skills, improve fitness and mental well-being and form lifelong friendships, Colin Gaels GAA is a community-based club open and inclusive to everyone of all ages and irrespective of ability.  Recent initiatives include the successful introduction of Mothers & Others activities and Dads & Lads teams, together with hurling/camogie taster sessions – which seem to be a huge hit.  But catering for some 200 members the club is lacking in equipment and having to share a lot of items, so sought funding to assist in the purchase of essential training kit and equipment in the post-Covid return to sporting activities.  A Clothworkers’ grant of £936 was endorsed by the Committee for the items listed in the application – ranging from nets, cones, and bibs to tag rugby sets and balls of various sizes.
