Cookstown Youth Football Club

With major fund-raisers cancelled as a result of Covid-19, and the need to reduce kit sharing to stop spreading of the virus, CYFC has been struggling to purchase new footballing kit – from footballs, bib and cones to water bottles.  The application set out how the Club’s development centre focusses on improving fundamental movement skills, mobility, balance and flexibility – as well as enhancing physical condition through fun, education training methods.  CYFC also runs intervention projects with the local PSNI, targeting ‘at risk’ teenagers in society.  Committee members were therefore happy to endorse a grant of £500 from the Clothworkers’ NI Fund.
