Founded in May 2005, CrimeStoppers NI works to encourage people to report crime anonymously and without fear of retribution.  They sought funding towards delivering a domestic abuse awareness project, which is now especially crucial due to the current Coronavirus situation and ‘Stay at Home’ message.  Recognising the need for such interventions, the Committee was quick to agree a grant of £2,000 from the Clothworkers’ NI Fund.  Trust Fundraiser, Amanda Corcoran, wrote to express Crimestoppers’ “deepest thanks for your support” and asked us to “Please also pass on our thanks to the Clothworkers Company.  Your donation is vital in helping us to continue to stand against domestic abuse crimes which can blight the lives of individuals and communities.  Your support will help us to ensure that our work continues to make the most difference to people’s lives in Northern Ireland”.  CrimeStoppers UK services are available 24/7, 365 days a year, either on the phone (0800 555 111) and/or online (www.crimestoppers-uk.org).
