Actively encouraging its 600 members and the local community to participate in sporting and social activities / events associated with the club, Kevin Lynch GAA applied for funding towards a list of repairs required to their indoor hall which includes a fully equipped gym and meeting / training room with functioning kitchen equipment. Opened in 2006 and facilitating Irish and fitness classes; cultural activities; Easter and Summer schemes; seasonal parties and other celebrations / family events (to name but a few), repairs had now become a priority. And, recognising that the hall is widely viewed as a hub for the Dungiven community, the Committee readily agreed to awarding a grant of £1,000 from the Drapers’ Company Fund.
