Implementing the HighScope Approach to provide a stimulating learning environment for up to 24 children between 3-4 years of age and help them reach their full potential, Drumahoe Community Preschool sought funding towards play resources to further develop the learning experience. Alderman McMorris believed that such places/services were vital for both parents and children and, recognising the high level of individual attention and support offered to each child, the Committee agreed a grant of £895 on behalf of The Drapers’ Company towards the purchase of a water tray, art easel and new reading books (as costed/detailed in the application).
