Dungiven Celtic Youth Football Club

A very active club providing sports and social activities to over 300 members in a rural location, DCYFC has 10 youth teams from U8 to U17 plus one senior team, and has recently introduced competitive football for some 60+ girls aged between six and 16.  Currently carrying out extensive repairs and renovations to their Clubhouse, Dungiven Youths sought funding towards new flooring for their multi-purpose meeting room.  The Committee understood that the quote to supply and fit cushioned vinyl was intended to accommodate a Makaton sign-language class where the children gather on the floor so they can best see their teacher signing.  Agreeing this would be more comfortable and easily maintained/cleaned, the members agreed a grant of £1,300 obo The Drapers’ Company.
