Eglinton Annual Show, Londonderry

A grant application was submitted by this small rural group seeking assistance for their annual community show which has been running since the late 1800’s, and was re-started again in its present format in 1995 – showcasing local crafters (Men’s Shed; Cricket Club; WI) and environmental groups (Woodland Trust; North-west Red Squirrel preservation group) and with Storytelling and a Children’s Petting Farm for younger visitors.  The event offers an inclusive, affordable place for families to come together, and the Committee had no hesitation in agreeing a grant of £800 obo The Drapers’ Company towards the cost of marquee hire on Show Day.  Join them on Saturday 7^th September 2024 in The Paddock, Main Street – 199 classes across flowers, home industries, handicrafts, children’s sections and much more.  For further information and/or download an Entry Form, go to www.eglintonshow.com or check out EAS’s Facebook pages/account.
