Eva Gaston, Coleraine

A 17 year old attending Coleraine Grammar School, Eva was selected for the U18s Ireland Hockey Team and has been invited to represent her country in tournaments in Scotland and Spain in July.  All entrants are self-funding trips (in this case estimated at £3,000), and the cost of attending regular training sessions in Dublin is already putting financial strain on the family.  Learning that Eva also plays cricket for Coleraine Ladies Underage Team, the Committee was more than happy to agree an individual grant of £250 to this keen young athlete – towards expenses associated with competing in Scotland and Spain.
