Fincairn Cultural & Heritage Association, Drumahoe

Identifying a need during Covid, FC&HA was formed in June 2020 to offer help and support to members of the local community.  Amongst other activities, the Association transformed a piece of overgrown waste land at the heart of the village into an area for the whole community to enjoy.  They now regularly hold events (eg, afternoon tea parties, an Easter egg hunt, and annual remembrance service) at this focal point, and applied for funding towards the purchase of a lawnmower and strimmer to ensure banking at the ground can be maintained for years to come.  The Governor suggested offering the full amount required for both items and, on his recommendation, the Committee agreed a grant of £1,277 obo the Drapers’ Company.
