Foyle Women’s Information Network, Derry

With a membership of 900+ women drawn from all communities across the North West (the majority of who receive their information on services, support advice and signposting through weekly e-mails), FWIN wanted to respond to the needs of some 153 older women who do not use the internet by continuing to provide a regular hard copy newsletter.  Councillor McMorris praised the amazing work carried out by the group and confirmed a very real need for people without access to digital services.  On her recommendation, the Committee agreed an HIS grant of £1,700 towards printing costs, paper, envelopes and postage.
