Gaeil Ruairí Óg agus Gaeil na Glinntí, Cushendall

This Irish language school – which aims to promote Irish language, culture and history throughout the Glens area – sought funding towards facilitators to bring new words to all age groups through a series of workshops / fun days and other events including nature walks; gardening; arts and crafts; environmental studies and music.  The Secretary was pleased to see an application from the Cushendall area, which falls within our wider remit.  And, recognising that the most important element of the activities was “fun”, the Committee agreed a grant of £800.
