Situated in Dungiven Castle, Gaelcholáiste Dhoire has 294 pupils who travel from a wide catchment area to receive the only Irish Medium Post-Primary Provision in the North West. With exams looming, the School applied for funding towards additional tuition for pupils during the Easter holidays in preparation for GCSEs and A’Levels. The Committee agreed a grant of £1,000 from the NW Schools’ Fund. One of the Irish Society’s Trustees, Philip Woodhouse, also offered to contact the current Master of The Skinners’ Company with a copy of the application form to see if they might also offer to help.
