Gaelcholáiste Dhoire : Home Economics grant of £4,000

The Honourable The Irish Society in partnership with The Worshipful Company of Bakers are delighted to support the school community at Gaelcholáiste Dhoire with this grant of £4,000.  The funding will support the school to enhance their Home Economics (Eacnamaíocht Bhaile) curriculum and extra-curricular activity through the purchase of equipment.  Home Economics provides students with important skills that will support them throughout their life course – a great investment for our community.  The Bakers’ Company had a local involvement with The Skinners Company in the Dungiven area until the late 19^th Century, and Paul Morrow (Master of The Bakers Company in 2018-19) kindly arranged for the donation to be made.
