Glack Social Dance Group, Ballykelly

Unable to return to the premises they were using pre-pandemic, Glack Social Dance Group is currently based at St Finloughs Hall on Loughermore Road – where they planned to resume Tea Dances from April 2022 as part of their programme of social activities for the elderly.  Previously, this had been a monthly event which ran for 15 years and, recognising that the elderly have been socially isolated (many live alone and this is one of their few social outings) the Group applied for funding towards entertainment.  Agreeing this would help to encourage many to return following ‘lockdown’, the Committee awarded £1,000 obo The Drapers’ Company.
