Glasgowbury (Small But Massive), Draperstown

Amateur dramatics was once an integral part of community life in Draperstown but has fallen away since the late 1980s.  In an attempt to ignite arts activity again, Glasgowbury ran a very successful 3-month drama project from January to March 2022.  Keen to continue with this, the organisation sought funding to pay for eight sessions of local amateur dramatics between April and June 2022 – covering the cost of two hours facilitation each session plus facilitator pre-workshop planning time and travel expenses.  Councillor MgGuigan endorsed the testimonials included in the application and, on his recommendation, the Committee awarded a Drapers’ Company grant of £1,000.
