Gortnaghey Youth Club, Dungiven

Planning to hold a Summer Scheme for approx. 100 children and young people (aged 4-16) over 17^th to 29^th July 2023, Gortnaghey Youth Club  – which is based in a remote rural area in the Sperrin Mountains, sought funding towards equipment to deliver a variety of physical activities including football and karate; dance and Zumba classes; circus skills and general workout sessions.  The Committee recognised the benefits to good health and wellbeing of team building, learning new skills and introducing young people to exercising in an exciting and enjoyable way and agreed a grant of £1,000 obo The Drapers’ Company.
