Include Youth, Derry

A regional rights-based charity, Include Youth is dedicated to supporting young people in or leaving care (particularly those from disadvantaged communities) enhance their employability, self-esteem and confidence.  They also organise weekly activities to keep young people engaged, but the cost of running a drop-in facility and food provision, etc is not met by existing funding streams so the group made an application for a grant to sustain the project.  The Committee readily agreed an Irish Society grant of £984 (as costed in the application) to cover groceries and a number of activities to keep the project running for a further eight weeks.
