It Takes a Village ….

Secretary & CEO Duane Farrell was delighted to attend St Mary’s Primary School in Draperstown for the launch of the Nurture Nook on 22nd November 2024. The Nook is aimed at increasing and enhancing the School’s current nurture space. Nurture provision in primary schools is an early intervention approach to support children appropriately early. Commenting on the launch, Duane said “I am delighted that the Society together with the Drapers’ Company were able to support this project. Attending the launch event really highlighted the breadth of community support required to support schools to deliver facilities such as this. Teachers, school children, local businesses and families throughout the community have raised a significant amount of money to ensure that children are supported early. We want to congratulate the school community on delivering such a great project”.
