James Bodkin, Maghera

Having written a history of Cloverhill House – ‘the stories, historical events and associated families covering 300 years of an Ulster country house’ – James Bodkin sought financial assistance with the final editing and professional finishing of the book.  The Committee acknowledged it was unlikely funding would be available from other sources and, with both Cllr McGuigan and Cllr Black supporting the application, agreed an individual grant of £350 obo The Drapers’ Company to help cover the costs of bringing Mr Bodkin’s book to publication.
