Knockbreda Methodist Church, Belfast

Peaced Together

Knockbreda Methodist Church is part of the Ballynafeigh Circuit and has been in existence as a worshipping congregation since Coronation Year 1952.  Amongst other community projects, members work with a group trained and licensed through Peaced Together (a creative arts course for women) to support female prisoners from Londonderry, the Northwest and other areas – using crafts to develop skills and well-being, give confidence and offer opportunities after release.  They applied for funding towards sewing machines and craft materials listed in the Peaced Together ‘toolkit’, and the Committee ratified a grant of £1,200 from the Clothworkers’ NI Fund.
