Lisburn Distillery Football Club

Led by local people for local people, Lisburn Distillery FC’s history goes back to 1880 and it is now a not-for-profit community club that provides sporting opportunities for adult males and some 130 boys and girls living in the Lisburn and surrounding areas, working tirelessly in the local community to inspire everyone to live healthier, happier and more productive lives.  The Club has enjoyed many great successes over the years and, having missed out on a full season of on-field action due to Covid, they hoped to return to some level of normality in the summer with the commencement of the 2021-22 season.  They wanted to replenish equipment and improve facilities ahead of the new season – for the use of all members from primary school players right through to their senior footballers competing in the NI Football League, and making football accessible and affordable to everyone.  The Committee was pleased to endorse a grant of £650 from The Clothworkers’ NI Fund towards the purchase of training and match footballs, bibs and marking cones – to help relieve the financial burden on the Club and its members.
