Little Orchids Children’s Centre, Derry

Providing therapeutic intervention and support for 2-4 year olds with special needs, Little Orchids’ highly experienced staff are committed to offering the best outcomes for children and their families.  Catering for a wide variety of difficulties (speech and language problems, sensory impairment, behavioural issues, autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, physical disabilities and genetic conditions), the Centre sought assistance to purchase Netbooks for key workers so that hand-written observations, reports and other records can be filed online.  And, although the building was forced to close during the Covid-19 crisis, staff are continuing to support families by phone and electronically.  A grant of £800 was approved for this important work.
