NI International Youth Football Cup Ltd (SuperCupNI), Coleraine

Intending to reward them for their invaluable contribution to the tournament, NI International Youth Football Cup Ltd sought funding from the Irish Society to purchase 100 branded track jackets for their volunteers.  Learning what a pivotal role they play in events, and that many volunteers take weeks off work and/or unpaid leave to help, the Committee agreed to make an exception to the £700 cap for sporting activities and awarded a grant of £1,500.  The Directors passed on their “thanks for the generosity of the Honourable Irish Society”, adding that “The tournament is very much one which relies heavily on so many volunteers giving up their time for the advancement of football and acting as representatives for the area to teams from near and far!”.  The Irish Society’s Secretary & Chief Executive, Duane Farrell, attended the boys’ finals at Coleraine FC on 26th July where he made a formal presentation and received “a huge thank you again to the Honourable Irish Society, sponsorship like this helps our event immensely and allows us to create memories that last a lifetime for boys and girls across the region and across the world”.
