Nicola Killen, Campsie

Applying on behalf of her 14 year old daughter, Charlotte Killen, and similar to Katie Boggs above, Nicola also sought funding towards expenses incurred in travelling to the International Mounted Games Championship at Royal Windsor in May – emphasising the honour of Charlotte representing her country in the competition.  As before, the Committee agreed an individual grant of £500 (usually £250) to help with costs associated with attending the Championship.  After the event, Nicola sent some photos and note saying
“I would like to thank you for this exceptionally kind donation.  We had to cover all expenses ourselves such as travel, clothing and accommodation on the trip”, which included travel to/from Lurgan for training before the Championships.  Nicola added “It was greatly appreciated and was a big help with a costly trip!  One that no-one will forget in a hurry, it was a great honour to represent her country and one Charlotte will appreciate forever” and offered the “family’s thanks again for your very generous help with our trip to Windsor”.
