North Coast Trad Group, Portrush

North Coast Trad is a family-centred club that consults with the local community (through groups, businesses and music sessions, etc) to gain feedback on previous events and help build the programme for this year’s North Coast Trad Weekend Festival – which is open to all.  Celebrating the existing legacy of traditional / Ulster Scots music alongside Irish Traditional music, the Group applied for funding towards Ulster Scots & Irish Piping Extravaganza; artists associated with Songs of the People; and a two-day Set Dancing workshop.  The Committee had no hesitation in awarding an Irish Society grant of £1,100 towards this annual festival.
