A non-political, non-religious group who open their doors to all, NCDA has been helping to relieve poverty and isolation and promote health and wellbeing in Swatragh and surrounding rural areas for the last 30 years. Embarking on a summer scheme for primary school children this year, the Association applied for funding towards the purchase of associated resources and equipment. Councillor McGuigan was aware that the group is very active and covered a great catchment area outside of the village and so a grant of £800 obo The Drapers’ Company was awarded towards the purchase of a range of arts/crafts items, table covers, white board and markers, skipping ropes, bean bags, hoops and table tennis sets.
