Promoting the benefits of sports and activity from a physical, mental and social viewpoint for all ages (school children to over 55s), abilities and disabilities, Omagh Fustal Club aims to provide high quality programmes that make a positive difference in the heart of its community. In an effort to make activities affordable for younger members, the volunteer-run organisation sought funding towards 35 youth academy kits for its indoor five-a-side football matches. A Clothworkers’ grant of £700 was approved by the Committee.
Following the purchase, the Club wrote to confirm that this had enabled local youths (living in an area of multiple deprivations) to participate without the additional financial burden of paying for their own kit, and included photographs of some of their youngsters proudly sporting their team strip.
