Founded over 60 years ago, Oxford United Stars FC has developed year on year to become much more than a footballing service to its players and the wider community in which it operates, and is now an all-inclusive club providing sporting opportunities to over 300 members from across the city regardless of their religion, ethnic origin, ability or disability. As a positive alternative to anti-social behaviour, they offer physical activities including sport and gym-based fitness classes. And they work to ensure each member’s circumstances, sexuality and religious beliefs are respected – educating their players to operate with an inclusive and open mind. They require additional equipment to help run training sessions in line with new Covid restrictions, minimising cross-contamination, and requested help with the purchase of balls, cones, bibs and small nets. A grant of £750 was approved.
