Public Initiative for the Prevention of Suicide and Self Harm

The PIPS group (covering Moortown, Ballinderry and Ardboe) sought assistance to facilitate a mental health training programme “One small gesture can save a life…” for residents in Moortown, Ballinderry, Ardboe and surrounding areas.  Responding to a significant increase in demand for services from people who have anxiety and mental health issues due to the knock-on effects of isolation, uncertainty and job losses, PIPS intends to offer the programme by phone and online for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis.  And a grant of £1,000 was agreed.
