School prize-giving

Although Trustees were unable to visit and attend the traditional prize-giving ceremonies this year, the Secretary was invited to participate in an outdoor event staged by the Irish Society’s Primary School in Coleraine.  Having already donated engraved watches and pens for presentation to the Head and Deputy Head Boys and Girls, the Irish Society also made a general contribution of £1,000 which we understand will be used to purchase Leavers’ Gifts for P7 pupils and provide End of Year Certificates for other children at the School.  Principal, Mr Murdock, wrote to thank us for the “very generous donation”, adding that “The Society’s continued support is very much appreciated by the Board of Governors and Staff of the School”.
