Shankhill Junior Football Club

Founded in 1987, Shankhill Junior FC is a community based football club for all boys and girls offering sporting services and wider community activities to some 250 members aged between 3 and 16.  Creating a culture of safety and fun, the Club trains and plays at four different locations in some of the most deprived SOA’s across Northern Ireland and strives to reduce the impact of economic strain on low income families.  So, to ensure they remain open and inclusive to all members, the Club applied for funding towards training kit including footballs, bibs, marker cones and goal posts.  And the Committee was content to approve a grant of £750 from the Clothworkers’ NI Fund.
