Managed by a collective of local people with a range of skill sets and local knowledge that proves key and critical in dealing with local based issues, Skeoge Community Association continues to grow and has become an integral part of the rejuvenation of its community. Aiming to improve quality of life and reduce isolation, the Association planned to deliver a 12-week programme of events for older people living in the Skeoge area – including dance, cooking, arts and crafts, creative writing, music, poetry, plus a range of health and well-being activities. The Committee had no hesitation in agreeing an HIS grant of £1,000.
