Sollus School of Highland Dancers, Strabane

Since its formation in 2001, Sollus Highland Dancers has expanded in a big way and now has 13 qualified tutors who teach in the community and within the Education Curriculum.  Already working directly with approx. 1,000 young people every week, their outreach remit across the province is increasing.  And they wished to purchase a large Smart TV to use for on-line lessons, masterclasses with international tutors and for presentations and brainstorming sessions.  The Committee welcomed the use of technology to improve accessibility and readily agreed an HIS grant of £1,300 towards the purchase.
