St Patrick’s College, Dungiven

An inspirational, enriching, proud and generous school community where ‘pupils strive to be the best’, St Patrick’s College has its challenges (20% of students on the SEN register, over 10% with a statement, and 40% eligible for FSM).  But the Staff want to help all pupils create memories and the skills to form positive relationships and, to this end, sought funding to improve their outdoor play areas and sports furniture – specifically for the purchase of basketball hoops and football nets.  Recognising how participation in sports is good for wellbeing, the Committee agreed a grant of £1,000 from the NW Schools’ Fund.
