Strathfoyle Community Association Limited, Derry

Promoting health and wellbeing within the Enagh ward for over 50 years, Strathfoyle CA currently provides a Meals on Wheels service (five days a week to some 30 vulnerable people) and a Men’s Breakfast Club every Friday to help tackle loneliness and isolation.  To maintain provision in a clean and safe environment, the Association applied for financial assistance with the purchase of a new hoover and two catering flasks plus a new desktop computer to help with admin services.  Alderman McMorris noted that the community group was located in an area of high deprivation and, on her recommendation, the Committee agreed a grant of £650.
