Tempo Maguires GAC, Co Fermanagh

Affiliated to both the Gaelic Athletic Association and Ladies Gaelic Football Association, Tempo Maguires GAC has 216 adults and 234 youth members participating from U6 to minor age (U18) and senior players.  As part of their efforts to make the Club as inclusive as possible, they plan to follow the Ulster GAA “All inclusive” initiative of sport for everyone by providing a new ASD sensory room within their clubhouse.  They also aim to host an ‘Autism in the GAA’ workshop for coaches in conjunction with Fermanagh GAA and participants from all clubs within Co. Fermanagh.  So the Club applied for funding towards sensory equipment such as sensory lighting, interactive projection systems, tactile elements and sensory toys to create a stimulating and engaging environment and allowing participants to explore and experience sensory input at their own pace.  And the Committee was content to approve a grant of £750 from the Clothworkers’ NI Fund.
